  • How To - Transcode Video Files with our Transcoder(s).

    At times you will need to transcode your video files due to bad resolution, bit rate, or audio bit rate, or as general trouble shooting of the media file(s). The below instructions are how to use our Video Transcoder(s) once they have been installed. They install to C:\Progam Files (x86)\Common Files. The MPEG-4 Video transcoder is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MPEG-4 Transcoder and the MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video transcoder is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VideoTranscoder.
    1. Launch the applicable Video Transcoder. (MPEG-1 or MPEG-4 video transcoder).
    2. For Step 1 please browse out to the original video file. You may have to switch the File type in the bottom right if you're original video file is not MPEG-1.
    3. For Step 2 please browse out to a new location for the new video file you can make a new folder in the original location called NewMedia.
    4. Please select the applicable resolution, you typically want to choose the resolution of your original video file or as close as possible to it).
    5. You can determine the original video file by right clicking the video file → Properties → Details.
    6. Within the program you can hover over the option to see the resolution, please select the closest resolution to your original video file.
    7. Click 'Begin' and it should start encoding.
    8. Once it is complete the CMD Prompt window will Close and the Transcoder will say 'Complete'.
    If you have already synchronized the transcript we are transcoding the video files for you can replace these within TimeCoder Pro. You will have to click 'Multimedia' → Multimedia Manager. You will then need to select each video file and click 'Replace' and browse out to the new video file(s) in question.
