The best way to search for item level duplicates within SE, is to tally either the MD5 hash, or Sha-1 Hash fields from within Desktop.
Deduplication is done on a family level, which is why you can still have duplicate items, even with deduplication enabled during ingestion.
The tally function will show a list of documents, sorted by hash value, and will group duplicates together. By clicking on the hash values in the tally column that have a count greater than 1, SE will display the documents in the grid that are duplicates on an Item level. Sha-1 is more specific, so my recommendation would be to tally Sha-1 over MD5.

What' s the best way to perform a search for duplicates in Eclipse SE?
When files were imported De-dup was performed, but in the Duplicates report in the case management tab I still see duplicates for both SHA1_Hash and MD5_Hash. What is the best way to performed a search on Desktop to check for duplicate values.
