  • Backing up and Archiving Cases in Eclipse SE.

    Archiving Cases in Eclipse SE without production images or production images not needed:
    1. Open Eclipse SE Admin.
    2. Expand the Import/Export section.
    3. Click "Export Data".
    4. Select the case and keep it selected on 'Entire Case'.
    5. On step two, select a location for the exported case.
    6. You will want to select the check box for 'Export Case Definition File'.
    7. Load file types would be a DAT, LFP, DLF.
    8. Click "Select All" under "Items to Export".
    9. Then in the upper right select the Copy Image files, Native Files and Export text as file.
    10. Under database fields keep it on select all, do not need to worry about system fields.
    11. You can then go to step 3 and start the export.
    12. Once the export is completed you can compress the folder and delete the case from Eclipse SE.
    Restoring this type of Archived Case:
    1. Un-zip the compressed archive.
    2. Create a new case using the CSE file.
    3. Import the DLF, this should import images, natives and text, as well as tags, production history, etc.

    Archive Case With Production Images:
    1. In Eclipse SE Admin → Case Management → Export Definition. (Save this to the folder you are backing everything up to.)
    2. Open Eclipse SE Desktop → Click the SE Icon in the upper left → Export Data → Replicate → Download Eclipse SE Case to Local System.
    3. Select the location you want to back the data up to.
    4. Select Entire Case (should be defaulted).
    5. Select all of the items under "Select case item to include in output".
    6. Make sure to select all production jobs.
    7. You can now move the folder you backed the data up to, to the location you plan on keeping it, or you can compress it is as well.
    Restoring the above:
    1. Create a new case using the CSE.
    2. Copy all of the folders / files out of the folder named after the case name to the new location created above on step 1.
    3. You will then need to open Eclipse SE Admin → Client / Case Management → Manage Volume Paths → Select the new case → Bulk Update File Paths.
    4. The "Search for field will be @PUBLISH@
    5. The Replace with will be your new case folder where you created the case on step 1. You will need a back slash after this, an example below.
    6. \\Servername\Eclipse SE Cases\ClientName\CaseName\
    7. You will want to run this on Image, Native and Production Image File paths and click "start".
    8. This should restore the case in its entirety for you.
