    Ipro ADD Self-Service

ADD Self-Service is an optional ADD feature that gives users external to your organization the ability to upload documents into your Media Manager installation for processing. Documents can be:

    • Uploaded for later processing, in which case they are uploaded to a pre-defined network location, or

    • Uploaded for review, in which case they are uploaded and processed through an Ipro ADD Streaming Discovery job that is configured with a Direct to Eclipse export series. When processing is complete, the uploaded document is added to the Ipro Eclipse case associated with the discovery job.

Documents that are uploaded through Self-Service can be monitored in Media Manager.

Are there any issues with long file paths?

No. eCapture, which is the processing engine behind ADD, is able to work with long file paths. It actually has a process to segregate those files to deal with the lengthy path.

Does it ever run out of drive mappings when it tried to shorten the file path by creating mapped drives?

It actually stashes those files in a separate folder to manage them. It doesn't try to create drive mappings or anything for them.

Good to know. Glad it doesn't use drive mappings like Allegro used to do.
