  • ADD Database update - upgrade from 2015.2 to 2016.3.2

Do not delete the Managing Client "UNASSIGNED" in IPRO ADD

When upgrading ADDService(Nucleus) from 2015.x to 2016.3.2 and the Managing Client "UNASSIGNED" has been deleted by a user, the database upgrade will fail and the ADD database will be left on the originating version.

The resolution is to create a managing client named UNASSIGNED. This can be done by running the script below on the ADD Database.

Error message: Found in Database update log: C:\ProgramData\Ipro Tech\Nucleus\DatabaseUpdater\ErrorLog.txt

    --------------------------------------

"An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch.
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ManagingClientId', table 'IPRONucleus001_IPRO_2015.Membership.Group'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.
    The statement has been terminated."

    RESOLUTION:
    --Run on ADD Database:
    Code:
Insert into IPRONucleus001_IPRO_2015.Enterprise.ManagingClient (Name, IsHost, IsDeleted)
    Values ('UNASSIGNED', 0,0)
