How to uninstall/reinstall Eclipse Native Viewer for Eclipse Web

The Eclipse Native Viewer is initially installed when attempting to view a document in the Document Details pane in Eclipse Web. The application can be uninstalled and reinstalled for troubleshooting purposes.

Possible resolution 1
The following steps require that the Windows user have sufficient rights on the workstation to uninstall and reinstall applications.
  1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer on the workstation.
  2. Open Windows Control Panel.
  3. Click Programs and Features.
    Note: If Control Panel is in Category view, under Programs click Uninstall a program.
  4. In the Uninstall or change a program list, click EclipseNativeViewer8.x.x.
  5. Click Uninstall.
  6. On the Programs and Features window, click Yes.
  7. If prompted to close Windows Presentation Foundation Host, click OK.
  8. Log into Eclipse Web.
  9. In the center area of the Eclipse window, double-click any case that contains documents.
  10. On the Case View navbar, click Documents.
  11. On the Document Details slideout bar (on the far right of the window) click Document Details.
  12. On the Document Details pane, click the Native Viewer tab.
  13. Click Install.
  14. On the EclipseNativeViewer8.4.x window, click Next.
  15. Click Install.
  16. Click Finish.
