Applies to: EASE
Version: All

When running diagnostics via the Ipro EASE utility, the Machine Access Check test may return a warning or error that EASE cannot access the server or workstation.
One or more of the following procedures require knowledge of the Windows registry; severe problems can occur if the registry is edited incorrectly. Consult with a qualified IT resource before performing these steps. Always back up the Windows registry before making any changes. Assisting with these procedures is outside the scope of normal Ipro application support.

Possible resolution 1
EASE requires that the Windows Remote Registry Service be started and running. By default, this service will automatically stop after 10 minutes. This behavior can be altered by editing the Windows registry.
  1. Open Regedit.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\RemoteRegistry.
  3. Right-click DisableIdleStop and click Modify.
  4. In the Value data field, type 1 and click OK.
  5. In Windows Services, restart the Remote Registry service.
